Topic: MIDI latency despite using ASIO, reducing buffer size and more

Hello guys!

I have been owning a bunch of midi controllers ( including a launchpad pro ) for several years now, and I just recently changed the PC on which I run Ableton. The issue that I'm running into is that I have to deal with an unbearable latency while performing with these controllers, despite the fact that I use ASIO drivers, that I have reduced buffer size to the minimum and that I adjusted driver compensation so that Ableton tells me that I only have 0.60 ms of latency. However, I can clearly feel that the latency I'm experiencing is way above this value. Do you guys have any idea of what I could possibly do?

I'm running ableton on a 2018 Surface Book 2 with 8 Go of RAM

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this smile

Re: MIDI latency despite using ASIO, reducing buffer size and more

Hi there, did you ever get to a conclusion on this? I've also recently changed laptop to a considerably more powerful one, and I've just started using my Launchpad Pro with a slight lag on it, doesn't seem to matter what I do (it's a new project I am working on and it was fine until a point!).

Cheers,
J
