I'll show you how to make automation chians whitout any plug-in or something like this ...
Frist you need to have:
Ableton Live (All Version)
Now create a Midi Track (Ctrl+Shift+T/Command+Shift+T) and put a Drum Rack in a Instrument Rack.
and active all this parametrers
now go there and click Chian after right click here in the orange part and Map on Macro 1
After go in the Macro 1 and press Ctrl+M or Command+M click in the blue under the write "Macro 1" and press the button that you like
If you need to help or something write there
I got as far as finding a function to send midi (codes like "90 00 7F") to the launchpad with Bome but how can I use this to light up the buttons? Or should I use some other method to do this.
Thank you for any input!]]>
.\Documents\Ableton\User Library\Presets\Audio Effects\Max Audio Effect
Now to use it you need to create a MIDI Track(Ctrl+Shift+T), create a Piano Roll(Ctlr+Shift+M) in Ableton and drang and drop the editor in Piano Roll from Max For Live> Max Audio Effect>Skin Editor.amxd .
ONLY FOR WINDOWS
.\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 9 Suite\Resources\Skins
After Import the Skin (File.ask) in the folder
Now we have install the Skin
After we need to open Ableton, go in Settings>Preferences (Ctrl+,)>Look/Feel>Skin (At the End in the session Colors) and select your skin (You have 08 default skins made by ableton)
I looked into what Live offers about 3rd party plugins beside Max for Live. Noticed all versions of Live (including Lite) support VST plugins that are capable of processing MIDI. Took the time to learn how to develop VST plugins. Created a Top Lights Plugin.

Lightpad is a cross-platform graphical application in development by Gooborg Studios, designed to work with Exige's MIDI Extension and provide an easy to use interface to create the MIDI animation files loaded by the extension. With easy access to MIDI Extension files, playback of the lights on both your computer screen as well as your Launchpad (of any model, but starting development with the MK2 and Pro), RGB color to velocity conversion, auto-saves, Ableton Live project export, and unlimited feature requests, our goal is to help make the creation of lightshows much more efficient. Plus, it will be free and open source for anyone to download!
Gooborg Studios is a team of artists, programmers, and translators dedicated to creating astonishing projects. We seek only one thing: to produce high quality content for the art community and game industry. We help game developers reach larger audiences by porting their games for other platforms, all content creators by translating their works, design wicked T-shirts for any fandom, and connect clients to qualified workers for their needs.
Programming by Vinyl Darkscratch, Light Apacha, WhoovesPON3. App icon and display panel graphic by Vinyl Darkscratch. Splash screen by Vinyl Darkscratch, drawing by Yogfan14, with brushes by Alberto Seveso. Special thanks to LaunchpadFun for additional support and allowing us to use features from their own program, LightshowCreator, and to the Launchpad community for making this program possible.
The source code is hosted on https://github.com/GooborgStudios/lightpad and is available for anyone to look at or contribute to. Please make sure to give credit if any of the code from the program is used in another project of yours! We will always make sure to include your name in our own attribution.
Before anyone comments about the existing programs for this, I am aware of the existence of some of them, but they all seemed to have one major caveat that I wish to fix with my own program. The Launchpad LED Editor by iUltimateLP seems nice, but it's somewhat early in development, and Windows-only. LaunchpadFun's LightshowCreator (LSC) has more development put into it, with lots of useful tools implemented into it, but it's also Windows-only. Launchpaddr is definitely the one with the most development thus far, but it's an online program, sadly, and I like to work on-the-go a lot. I want to provide another alternative, one that works on both Windows and Mac (as well as Linux), and is completely offline, interfacing directly with the MIDI Extension. Of course, choose the one that works best for you, no matter what!
I just registered here because I can't find an answer to this (I have spoken to the guys of Novation and they said it's possible but it involves programming and that one of you guys should know?)
Question is: is it possible to change the order of the midi notes on the launchpad? So that for example the lowest note is in the TOP left corner and from there on the next higher note to the right and so on (like the layout of a book page if you know what I mean)?
Please help me out with this.
- A Laser Cutter
- This Launchpad Phantom Stickers.Ai File That I made:
https://mega.nz/#!9lYkmIhK!jF98DudGuHsA … Jz4611MiAE
- A Launchpad
- Black Vinyl Sticker A4 Size
Now, if you know how to use a laser cutter this will be a piece of cake.
I don't see any posts related to piano cover.
Can you give me your best set up configuration in order to have the best "piano sound" like in this video :
I try : "Grand Piano" with some reverb and "midi effects" (note length) but still very weak compared to the video.
Any advices ? Thanks in advance]]>
-Move a Note Length to the MIDI Track where the lights are
-Add RAM if you have 2 or 4 gb (I have 8 gb and it works good)
-Close innecesary applications or programs.
-Update your Launchpad Firmware, here is a tutorial by Ev3Rest: http://forum.launchpad-pro.com/viewtopic.php?id=3671
-Try to use the ASIO4ALL plugin
He's back and made some really great tutorials on how you should make samples for your projects
Just thought i should share this
I'd like to share one software we made.
it's called unipad.
You can play famous launchpad covers like
Marble Soda, Mako-Beam, Xenognosis, Hello, Bangarang, Virus, Unity, I Love You and much much more!
and the most coolest part is that you can sync with actual launchpad Mini, S, MK2, and Pro and play! (requires OTG Cable)
this app is apparently only avalible in Google Play and it supports english and Korean.
How to Download:
go to Google Play,
that's the app.
P.S. the video
P.S.2 your phone needs to support OTG and you need to have an OTG Cable to connect with launchpad and your phone.]]>
